Digging around in my archives the other day I
came across some totally ancient photographs of Damon Minchella playing bass with what I
think may have been his first ever band. If my memory serves me correctly they were called
Transaction (their average age was 16) and they played some original stuff and covers such
as the Undertones 'Teenage Kicks' and Black Sabbaths 'Paranoid'. It was summer 1985
and they were playing at the Red Lion pub in Knowle, Solihull, supporting a band called Resurrection.
Nice to see he appears not have lost his love of stripey trousers (Ju-Ju-Men influence
still strong even to this day...)
